I've been using YNAB4 since early 2014, and I'm disappointed in the direction they chose to go in for the new version. In fact, anyone who recognizes my screen name from the YNAB forums will know I've been one of the most vocal opponents.

While I haven't started using financier seriously yet, I've played around with it a bit, I am very impressed with what has been done so far and I joined to keep an eye on progress.

I know that I am happy to see you here.

@nolesrule, Financier is stilling missing a few features that I know you are passionate about, but there's no need to worry. @Alex is very quick to roll things out, and he should have AoM implemented soon.

You have no idea how much I am looking forward to AOM and the removal of walled months and Income for next Month.  :o

Seriously though, I can be patient and wait for the key features. As far as I can tell the only really can't-do-without key feature is the scheduler. I may even subscribe as a gesture of good faith while I wait. I don't really use the mobile apps, so I can continue to use YNAB4 as the primary until this meets all of my needs, but it looks pretty darn close. @Alex  I already tested the migration from YNAB4 on our main budget (I have 5 budget files that I use) and although I haven't gone in depth to make sure everything was 100% accurate yet, everything appeared to work fine.

I about spit coffee at the mention of AoM.

I could go on and on (and on) about that steaming pile, but I'd just be preaching to the choir here.

I thought you would all be happy to know that my AOM went from 259 on November 30th to 286 on December 31st. That's 27 days in a 31 day month. (It'll probably crash next month when we make the credit card payments, and I think the fact that we didn't send any money to IRA or taxable investments in December made a difference as well).  :parrot:

P.S. I keep a free trial active over there just to track the AOM B.S. for $#!+$ and giggles.

My year long subscription expired last night, and I forgot that my wife was still using it for her businessy stuff. I am now forced to pay for nYNAB a month at a time until we can get her onto something else after tax time. I think we're going to start with Quickbooks, and for me that's like standing at the base of Mt. Everest with my fanny pack.

They don't do the monthly subscription anymore, but they will give me a month long trial when we're ready to do tax stuff. I will accept that consolation gift.

Not according to support: "We don't have the option to bill monthly, but I can just re-open your trial for the period of time ... "

Talk about continuing to make dumb mistakes.

I made it clear that I was moving to another product, and that we only needed about a month to get our taxes sorted out. I'm just happy that they'll do a trial instead of requiring a full year membership that I would have to cancel, hoping to get a pro-rated refund.

I have no idea when they eliminated the $5/month option since I haven't really been paying attention for the last few months. Maybe it was easier to replace it with $50/year + the option to cancel at anytime for a partial refund. Technically, that would be cheaper, as long as the refund was pro-rated and guaranteed. ($4.17/month)
