Back up! I'm finishing some things on the server but there should be no, if any, further disruptions.

Hi all

Rebuild is starting, and Financier is now offline. I'll post again when Financier is back up and running. Thanks!

Bug Reports / Re: Cannot load budgets due to memory limits

@jat255 sounds like you might've got a solution.

Just curious - oftentimes the huge syncs is do to importing, deletting, importing, deleting budgets. The budget data isn't ever actually "deleted" in CouchDB due to the way CouchDB's sync mechanism works.

If you'd like, I can remove all data on your Financier account after you export your budget data you want to keep to JSON. Then, once you log out (very important!) from ALL devices, you can re-import, and it should work great.

Alternatively, you can always create a brand new financier account - ( and import budget data to that.

Should sync much faster.

Hello everyone,

Financier will undergo planned maintenance November 13, 2021 @ 9am CST.

I will try to minimize downtown, but it's likely that Financier will be down for around 1 hour. I will be taking this time to completely rebuild Financier's VPS. The goal of this update is ongoing preventative maintenance so that Financier continues to receive the latest security updates.

As always, since Financier works completely offline, you will be able to modify and view your budgets - they just won't sync. Please be aware that Financier Mobile will not be able to connect during this time.

Thank you!

Users have reported some issues, but have been able to resolve them. Clearing the cache should fix it. I recommend also trying to restart your computer.

Sorry about that. Safari is a little buggy when it comes to client database support.

Hello all,

It's quiet around here! But, Financier's maintenance and support continues as always! I have performed some server maintenance today (with no downtime) to upgrade various versions of software that Financier depends on.

Nothing should change or be different, but let me know if you notice anything weird!

Bug Reports / Re: Decimal point doesn't work

Hi @lajkabaus sorry for the late reply.

Have you tried a comma "," as the decimal separator? It's very likely Financier has detected that as your decimal separator based off of your locale.

Make sure to @-mention me for a quick reply! :)

@Crotha If you have better german translations, please let me know. :) I'd love to improve them.

ALso yes, Financier detects regional settings. I believe firefox has plugins to allow you to select regional settings on a per-site basis. Financier could also potentially add the ability to manually select.
