One feature I think would be nice to have is when you enter a transaction, a popup is briefly displayed showing you the new balance of the category used. I often find myself entering a transaction and then clicking back on the budget to see what the new balance is.
I loved this feature in the YNAB mobile app but it was always missing from the main interface.
Another thought that might be easier is to display the category balance when hovering over the category in the accounts screen. That way after entering a transaction you can just hover over the category to get the new balance.
I like this suggestion. i would see it coming across the bottom right corner of the screen like a new email does with microsoft outlook.
Great ideas. I had thought about this also. Even wondered as an alternative if entering transactions from the budget screen would be possible. Maybe by right clicking the account name an add transaction pop out or maybe a similar option in the outflows area of the category. Have no idea if either are practical but just saying I thought of the idea while thinking about the need to see an immediate update to a category balance.

This is a good idea! I also don't know how do-able it is, but still a good idea. I typically enter a transaction and then click back to the budget screen to check the category balances. It would be great to enter a transaction from the budget screen.
Or, on my monitor I can see five months on the budget screen. I don't need to see five months. Maybe have the option of a split screen where half is used to view the budget and the other half is used to enter transactions??
I feel like Alex is being overwhelmed with feature requests. I guess the only solution is to quit his day job and work full time on Financier! ;D

I mean right now you can always open two browser windows side by side (one account view, one budget view) and when one updates the other will, too (assuming you're logged in and have an internet connection).
