Not entirely sure if I'm going to keep this around; I'd like your thoughts.
Yay!
I'm very happy that you are building Financier and that you created a forum!
Another vote to keep the forums!
Great to have this up and running. Is the intention to bring everyone here from reddit and slack rather than maintaining multiple communities?

That's why I suggested a forum. This dinosaur just can't get used to Reddit! ;D

Couldn't agree more!

My intention was for it all to coexist :)
Nice to see a dedicated forum! :)
Love the software and am optimistic for its future. The forum is a great idea. Keep up the good work. There are a lot of us here pulling for you.
It's nice to see a forum and be able to discuss with people that maintain similar interests. Feels more like a community already!
Keep up the good work!
Alright, I'll keep the forums around. Seems very nice to use!
I've added a couple enhancements like Gravatar avatar by default, relative post time (1 hour ago, etc), and SSL. LMK if anyone else wants anything else.
Cheers
EDIT also the reason I chose SMF over Vanilla and other requested options is the look and feel. SMF is just easier for me to read and comprehend. Vanilla's thread management and whatnot seems messy, too much whitespace, and hard to follow to me. Maybe I'm just an old stickler when it comes to forums. :)
No complaints here (for once).

Same here. I like the SMF forums. It would be nice to have some more emoticans, but that's not a huge deal.
I prefer this style of forums to the reddit.
I vote to keep the forums as well.
It would be nice to be able to "like" posts made by members.
Thanks for opening up the forums!
Oh dear.. is this a budget buster? parrot

Being able to tag people would also be very sweet!
We now have liking and @ mentions. :)
@Alex - Now that's service!
@Alex how come that isn't working?
Looks like I had to enable it for normal members.
@Joel can you try it again?
@Alex Peasant reporting in.
Got an email :)
Is there a way to set it up so that I go to the newest reply/comments in a thread? Right now I have to scroll throw all the previous replies when I click on the 'show unread posts since last visit' link.
Have I missed something?
I think you can click the orange "NEW" button and it will take you to the first unread post.

@asromzek, it's usually the simple things. I did not even think to click on the "NEW" button. LOL
I just figured that out this morning. parrot
