Title: optimize vertical screen real-estate
Post by: ramblinwreck on February 26, 2017, 10:53:20 AM
Hi. New user here. Looks great so far.

I have quite a few budget categories, enough that this completely fills (vertically) my 27" iMac display using YNAB4. Using Financier, it doesn't seem to use this vertical space as efficiently, and as a result I'm not able to fit as much data onto my screen using Financier. As one example, the monthly at the top of each month column uses quite a bit more vertical space in financier. See attached. It seems like the regular category rows are also slightly taller in Financier, also.

Would love to see this vertical space optimized if at all possible. Thanks for consideration!

Good point @ramblinwreck

I have customised by Financier display - see this forum thread.

The below screenshot is the result - YNAB 4 on the left and Financier on the right - using almost identical screen estate. For interest only if you prefer not to fiddle with the Stylish extension etc!

If you click on the Available to Budget number, the header will collapse slightly as well.

@Paul Nice mod.

@ramblinwreck Thanks for the suggestion. This makes sense to do. :) Here: https://trello.com/c/AfIu0AKH/331-compact-vertical-month-header-size
