1. What language is it written in?

2. No, I will not contribute to a not-open source project.

So @Alex

"If development stops for a longer period I will definitely open source it"

Had a short look at the json backup and it does not seem to appear in that file, all dates are stored as year-month-day in there.

I just exported the CSV and the dates are all over the place...

Formats:
I have 04/04/2017 as well as 4.4.2017 in one file.
The . delimited dates are a mix of month.day.year and day.month.year

Bug Reports / Re: UNexplained overspent....

Ah found it...
:parrot:

If you have uncategorized transactions, it results in this.

Maybe it would help to lump those in a "fake" category.. because this state is misleading.

Bug Reports / UNexplained overspent....

Just did my accounts yesterday and was hit with this...???
What could it be? No red anywhere, no hidden categories (I expand all of them, all of the time)

The best example (and the thing that got me away from nYNAB) is income.

I receive my income around the 23rd - 26th of a month.

Normally, in YNAB4, or financier, I can budget it for NEXT month "category --> income next month".

In a walled setup, I can not. So in new Ynab, I am forced to either put it in with a future date, OR enter it as it comes in.
Screwing with my account numbers if I put it in the future (account != nynab) or with my head when I put it in right now (Hey, there is money to be budgeted, but remember, it is that stuff for next month)

Add to that that nYnab does NOT count any future transactions...

Yeah...

How Do I even run this?

Five big reasons for me:

1. The ability to enter future-dated transactions that I've already scheduled/committed to.
2. The ability to mark income for next month.
3. Walled off months that prevent you from stealing from the future when making adjustment's to the current month's budget.
4. No stupid Age of Money metric.
5. A giant middle finger to Jesse for abandoning many of his long-time users (to eventually sell the company, in my opinion).

Everything but 3 is true for me.
For whatever reason, but the lack of future-dated transactions infuriates me.
On ipad, I can't even ENTER them! Online, the amount won't be deducted!

Introductions / Hello from Switzerland
March 07, 2017, 04:42:28 AM
Reporting in from Zurich.

Male, 42, working in IT, decided I can not live with nYnab after all.

I was active on their forums under the same name, so you might know me from there.

Really like this software, so far.

Please.

Only thing keeping me from converting the family main account at the moment...
