Great thoughts and thanks for sharing your story. I too remember Mary Hunt's "Freedom Account" and used to have that as a line item on my budget back in the early 90's. Unfortunately I fell off the budget bandwagon and didn't get back on track until 2007 and I'm never leaving again.

Citi Double Cash at 2% for everything except Amazon.

On Amazon we use their card for 5% and try to also be patient and get things lumped together on Subscribe and Save where possible to get an additional 15%.

I spend so little at Amazon though I've considered dropping that card to simplify down to having just the one card.

IRA Pro: You will have full access to the entire market of choices if you are an active investor.

IRA Con: You will have full access to the entire market of choices if you are an active investor.

Seriously, I used to always say roll it over to an IRA but I have the potential of needing backdoor Roth IRA contributions within the next few years. I'm going to have to convert (and pay income taxes at a higher bracket than I earned the dollars at) my rollover account if I want to be able to do Roth in the next few years. Something to be educated about for sure.

I started with YNAB back in the spreadsheet days. Suffice it to say dealing with nYNAB and the philosophical changes especially non-walled months have been so incredibly frustrating that within 2 hours of signing up for Financier I was able to figure out a problem I had on my budget and now everything balances perfectly. Cannot wait to see this grow and wish all the success in the world to Alex.

I used to run the day to day operations on a Dave Ramsey inspired forum although it is pretty dead over there these days. I've parted ways with Dave on a number of issues/philosophies but still think he is the best of the best at helping people get out of debt with focused intensity.

At any rate, looking forward to watching this tool and community grow.
