Feature Requests / change account for existing transaction
« on: June 23, 2018, 07:41:04 AM »
Been happily using Financier since February 2017.

I'd like to be able to move an existing transaction from one account to another. Here's why. At least a few times a week, I'll accidentally enter a transaction on the wrong account (e.g. Credit Card A instead of Credit Card B). When I do this, I'd like to be able to move that whole transaction from CC-A to CC-B with a couple of clicks (I think I used to be able to do this in YNAB4? but I've since deleted that app so I can't check). But I can't find any way to do that in Financier. Ideally something like:

* select transaction
* Edit (dropdown) -> move to account XYZ.

Instead, I must delete (Edit->Delete) the transaction on CC-A, and then recreate it in it's entirety in CC-B.

Thanks for consideration!

Bug Reports / unexplained "Overspent in Mar" amount
« on: March 15, 2017, 12:06:31 PM »
Hi Alex, et al,

See attached.
I cannot find the source for the 'overspent' $43.27. This just popped up today after adding some transactions.

I do have some red/negative category balances in March, but they are all set to "Subtract it from the next month's category balance" (i.e. red arrow forward), not "Subtract it from the next month's 'Available to Budget'", so I expect my Overspent in Mar should be zero.

Can you tell me what to look for, or Alex, can you take a look at my budget data?

Either I'm missing something obvious (likely), or this is a bug.

Other / logging out -- best practices?

Is there any real difference between me just closing my browser/tab when I'm "done" with Financier instead explicitly clicking the "Logout" button?

Does the former force a 'sync' first, and is therefore safer? Or is there no difference?

For this question assume I'm working on my own private, home machine (not a shared/public machine), so I don't want/need to "remove local budgets".

Feature Requests / optimize vertical screen real-estate
« on: February 26, 2017, 10:53:20 AM »
Hi. New user here. Looks great so far.

I have quite a few budget categories, enough that this completely fills (vertically) my 27" iMac display using YNAB4. Using Financier, it doesn't seem to use this vertical space as efficiently, and as a result I'm not able to fit as much data onto my screen using Financier. As one example, the monthly at the top of each month column uses quite a bit more vertical space in financier. See attached. It seems like the regular category rows are also slightly taller in Financier, also.

Would love to see this vertical space optimized if at all possible. Thanks for consideration!
