Bug Reports / Re: Decimal point doesn't work
« on: June 25, 2018, 10:25:33 AM »
Hi @lajkabaus sorry for the late reply.

Have you tried a comma "," as the decimal separator? It's very likely Financier has detected that as your decimal separator based off of your locale.

Make sure to @-mention me for a quick reply! :)

@Crotha If you have better german translations, please let me know. :) I'd love to improve them.

ALso yes, Financier detects regional settings. I believe firefox has plugins to allow you to select regional settings on a per-site basis. Financier could also potentially add the ability to manually select.

Feature Requests / Re: change account for existing transaction

Correct... It's not entirely obvious, but it makes sense once you figure it out. :) In order to move transactions from account to account, you have to change to the "all accounts" register view.

Well that's weird, I've never seen it autocomplete accounts like that :( Maybe I have something in chrome configured differently.

Anyone else see this happen? @asromzek?

@rubbishaka80 If you have it on another computer, follow the following:

1. Disable your internet connection. Otherwise, Financier will sync and will delete the local budget.
2. Backup the budget (should create a download file). (Next to add account, -> click gear icon, -> backup.)
3. Regain internet connection and sync. Budget should be deleted.
4. Import the budget backup.

This will create a "duplicate" budget, so you might have to update bookmarks of your budget.

If you cannot do that, let me know the day before you deleted the budget. I can get it from backups - not a super easy process though so if the above guide works that would be ideal. :)

Thanks!

@keyboard are you using firefox? Looks like the browser's autocomplete is adding the account names there for some reason, which I could see being annoying. :/

Should be a fairly easy fix though. :)

Also for those of you that have noticed the annoying problem where new updates cause the spinner to spin indefinitely until you manually refresh the page -- this has been fixed! And will not be a problem in the next release. :)

Fixed :)

Hi there,

just recognized one change which appeared after updating (which I would count as an 'issue') - when creating new transaction category, which was used last, is automatically put in a category field (as before) and I used to just press Ctrl+A to select everything in the field and enter new category, but now Ctrl+A selects all transactions instead, and doesn't select text in an input.

Best Regards

Thanks for the report, @Pe4enie

This is definitely an issue - the reason it occurred is probably because I switched the keyboard shortcuts angular tool (the previous one was buggy and didn't work with CSP).

I'll try to get a release out with this fix ASAP - hopefully tonight. :)

If you or anyone else could let me know if there are any other regressions with keyboard shortcuts, please let me know!

Hi everyone,

This release includes security fixes (nonce + modernized CSP headers), a new French locale, and a small Spanish typo fix.

Enjoy! Let me know if you have any issues.

I think its in the backlog somewhere but it would be good to have some sort of notification system to warn users of issues like this after they have entered a transaction with a missing category. This has caught me out a couple of times too.

I totally agree - it's a priority.

Hi @uberdrops --

Sorry for the slow response. I looked at this, meant to look at in depth later and then it fell off my radar.

In regards to transfers to off budget accounts as splits. I believe they can be. For example:

Create new transaction, no payee, category = split
For split line item one, make transfer to off budget account. Set the category to whatever you want. Note that it is important the payee transfer target account MUST be an off budget account or the category will be ignored (transfers from on budget to on budget accounts inherently don't have categories).
Repeat for line item two with different category assigned

Make sure the total adds up, for example outflow in split line items 1 and 2 must add up to the total.

Submit the transaction. The transfers to off budget accounts should work.

I tested this. Let me know if this is not what you are intending to do.

Thanks! :)

Feedback / Re: Financier updates..
« on: March 26, 2018, 03:41:51 PM »
No worries, I think it is an idea with merit.

One thing worth mentioning is you can click on date to sort by date and then Shift+click on another header to secondary sort by that.

There's no column for "date/time added" or anything so you can't do that... but you can check the secondary sort to category, payee name, etc. Also the sort doesn't persist - it resets if you close.

You can also send it to me... hello@financier.io

Make sure that any split transactions are expanded when checking for red.

Hi @michaelmjd that is definitely possible. What would you expect if you edited a transaction? reset position or keep original?
