(other than you, @ottyacat).

I have another 'complaint', its only Wednesday... But the glass should always be half full I guess, its Tuesday in other places.   ::)

And because I know how much you enjoy trying to solve the Android issues I keep finding, I have sent you another bug/idiosyncrasy. Your welcome! :D

Yep looking awesome, entered a heap of transactions today on the fly my list of saved payee locations is slowly growing. The ability to move a payee detected location is great too. Couldn't get a park outside the pizza shop, so I sent the wife in and parked around the corner, not to worry edit the payee location adjust to be just outside the shop, happy days.

Sounds like you have some great ideas there! Well, I'm pretty good at breaking things, so once it's in beta I will do my best :)

Search is going to get some more attention before I call it complete. I wanted to get the basics working before moving to wrapping up the geo-located payees and payee manager changes. I'm not sure if I will build a special search panel for advanced searching, or implement some sort of parsed search "language" that you type into the existing text box.

I assumed that was probably the case, sounds good! FYI I got my tax done yesterday, and I had to search for some specific transactions whilst I was at the accountant due to stupid Australian tax laws changing... Yawn... Worked really well and was fast too, first official use I have had, gets a green tick!  :parrot:

After some considerable difficulty last night with the advanced calculator being broken on iOS/Safari, the solution was to replace the "mathjs" library with "expr-eval" to handle the parsing of the calculator entry string.

How annoying! The geo-located payees sound really good, that was one thing i really liked about the ynab mobile app, made it really quick to enter transactions on the fly. Looking forward to giving it a run once in beta.

Cheers.

Sounds good! I didn't get a chance to reply yesterday but I have been continuing to use the beta version with no issues. The search seems to be working well, though I haven't had a valid use for it yet other than just to test it out for the sake of it. It's one of those tasks that you do intermittently but when you do it's really handy!

Thanks also for implementing the reconciliation changes, works well :)

The only suggestion I have for search at the moment would be to somehow search the transaction flags so you could search for "Yellow" for example, helps to find all these transactions at tax time or whatever you use the different flags for without having to export open in excel etc.

Question: How will the Geo-Location data work, will it only save it to the local webapp or is there some provision in the Sync API for it already?

EDIT: Ignore the question, i should actually read the post before last ;)

Sounds great! Cheers.

Beta app has been running really well! A small tweak that would be nice is when reconciling your credit card in the main app, the input box that lets you type in your balance accepts your balance as either a positive or negative number and still works it out correctly which is nice because rarely the credit card would actually have a positive balance. I normally open my bank app, copy the balance and paste it into that field but that always represents it as a positive number.

I know all I have to do is press the negative symbol first...But I keep forgetting and having to start the process again (force of habit I guess).

Looks good, thanks for adding the spinner, definitely helps when waiting for my bloated budget to load.

The cover remaining button and others are also a welcome edition, thanks.

Wait, did we do that before?

Yep, you were diagnosing the 20 second budget open time on Andriod for me, you figured out that Andriod didn't use hardware acceleration for javascript calculations or something like that.

I have emailed you a new copy.

Let me know if there is anything I can do to assist.

Ok update, I have tried on Google Chrome on my desktop PC and it's doing pretty much the same thing only the chrome tab actually crashes after a few mins. It's not a happy camper with my budget, I don't think it's completing the sync as the empty budget I created on the main app won't appear either. V1 works fine on both my PC and phones. I am not getting any errors in the Dev console but I am seeing a script abort an XRH call after about 30 seconds and then it crashes the whole Chrome tab. Would you like me to send you a copy of my budget again and some screenshots? Do you have the same email

No problems I'll try what you suggested later on today I've also got a 1yo Samsung Galaxy Edge in my possession as I'm on 24 hour tech support for work this week  :( I'll give it a run on that too. And if I can prise my wife's Pixel 2 out of her hands for more than 15 minutes... I'll give it a run on that too both those phones were top of the line about 12 months ago.

Ok a couple more things:

When deleting a transaction from the account screen, swipe left click delete, the slider closes but the transaction doesn't disappear. If you refresh it is gone or of you swipe left on the same transaction again it then vanishes.

This probably only effects me it's to do with what we have discussed previously, because I am on Android and have a large budget it takes some time.to initially open the budget (between 10-20 seconds) in V1 because there was an open button that changed state you knew it was working on it . In the new version because there is no change of state I find myself tapping it over and over again as you don't know of its opening or not until it finally does. Some sort of feedback would be nice.

Ok so a rocky start at least for Android but hey that's what betas are for... That being said I do love it and already don't want to switch back to V1 great job again appreciate all your hard work and it's exciting to see some of your ideas for the future.

Ok I have an update, it appears to be the syncing that's causing the issue as soon as I logout close the browser and reopen it starts working ok probably as fast as V1 very nice to navigate, liking it so far. Then I enable sync and it all goes to crap again. So testing without sync:

The next issue is that on the budget screen there is nothing in there the summary at the top has info in it but it's all wrong like this month it says I'm over budgeted by 500,000 dollars... Dam lol. The section below is just empty no table or values. I also have a similar issue when entering transactions, I enter an amount and a payee but when it gets to the selecting a category and it's all empty nothing to choose from.

Account screen is fine so far.
