Downtime tonight
« on: November 03, 2016, 09:47:19 PM »
I will be performing various backend improvements tonight (Friday) at some point (November 4th, 2016).

While syncing will not work, your budget should still be available on devices where it is already synced in offline mode.

The following will be performed:
  • Upgrade from CouchDB 1.6.1 to 2.0.0 (dramatic sync speed improvement)
  • Add SSH key to production environment
  • Migrate to Digital Ocean block storage

No issues this morning, other than having to set an alarm on a Saturday.

@cracksys thx, at least https://app.financier.io is still up.

Check out status.gitlab.com for more. They're having issues atm, but they're on it.

Looks like I missed the downtime, but thanks for all of you do, Alex! For that, we will support this effort for $12/year!

Hey Alex, is there a status page? Something with a calendar that would show if it's planned downtime or unplanned would be cool.

@fharding1 There's no need b/c it's always available on devices that have budget info synced, it just behaves like it's 'offline'.
