My financial situation as an older, retired guy is probably a lot simpler than those who may have a larger family to support; along with maybe a mortgage, car payments, kids to provide for, etc..  I've been using YNAB4 for a couple of years and with the advent of nYNAB and the future loss of support for YNAB4 it didn't take much for me to see the advantage of switching to Financier.

It took me a couple of times to get everything aligned in my accounts and in my head to finally convert my budgeting from YNAB4 to Financier... but as of five days ago, I'm good to go.  It was an easy conversion as I have no preexisting debt... no mortgage, no vehicle loans, nothing more than electric, cable and water bills to worry about... so I'm happy to say that I am fully converted... all my figures between my new Financier budget and my couple of bank accounts and my one credit card are all in agreement and I no longer even open up my YNAB4.  I'm lucky to have very simple budgeting requirements as well as plenty of time, being retired with our three kids out on their own and successful, to reconcile my Financier budget with my accounts anytime the fancy strikes me.

Thanks for your efforts here. They are greatly appreciated.

If there is one tip I might want to relay to others: That would be to set up text alerts with your CC and/or Bank Cards to send you a text alert every time your accounts are used.  I have them set up and that allows me to enter all my transactions into my Financier budget by just looking at my text messages on my phone. An additional advantage is that you will quickly be able to see of any of your cards are used without your knowledge or consent and you will be able to take immediate action... rather than waiting to find such charges by scanning your monthly statement.

Welcome!  parrot

Chase is set up to send an email every time a credit card transaction over $0.01 occurs. It is really helpful for catching up on transactions, and I will know immediately if my card has been compromised.

Awesome! I'm glad set up went so smoothly. Let me know if there are any problems and I'll try to help out! :)
